Shanghai airport to hospital: a receiving plan beyond the vehicle booking
For PVG or SHA arrivals, confirm the actual meeting point, provider acceptance and level of road support before describing a transfer as ready.

Choose the airport in the booked itinerary
Pudong and Hongqiao are different departure points for dispatch, travel time and meeting arrangements. Confirm the exact arriving flight, terminal, domestic connection if any and which adult will be able to reach the driver after border formalities.
Clarify the pickup boundary
A public arrivals meeting point, a terminal wheelchair handoff and an airside or restricted-area reception are not interchangeable. The carrier and airport decide their assistance and access rules; the road team must identify where its responsibility actually begins.
Confirm the receiving hospital or residence
Ask who accepts the patient at the destination, whether admission timing is agreed and where the vehicle can hand over. If a ward is not ready, identify who can approve a different plan; an ambulance booking cannot create a hospital bed.
Check equipment and family space
If there are clinician-requested oxygen, monitoring or stretcher needs, have the provider confirm the actual vehicle and personnel. Ask separately whether the family and luggage fit and what happens if the flight arrives late.

Hospital and provider confirm acceptance and execution.
Authorised party confirms scope and revised costs.
Questions before a booking
Can an airport transfer include the boarding or arrivals restricted area?
Do not assume so. Carrier and airport permissions must be obtained separately for any restricted-area handover.
