Resolve the final destination before the airport handover
Give the exact receiving location within Ningbo or Fenghua, the receiving department or responsible person, and whether acceptance is confirmed or still being discussed. “Ningbo hospital” is not enough to scope a handover. A nursing or rehabilitation facility needs its own acceptance and support-capability confirmation; a home destination needs a responsible receiver and an access plan. ChinaMedTransfer can scope liaison alongside the road leg, but a preferred destination is not an accepted bed. If the receiver remains unresolved, request feasibility rather than a dispatch instruction.
Do not let a wheelchair label conceal a stretcher requirement
Describe how the person is positioned during the flight, at airport release and on the road. If a wheelchair is proposed for one interval and a stretcher for another, the responsible clinical and service teams must assess whether that transition is suitable and how it will be performed. Specify whether the person can sit and transfer, what hands-on assistance is required, and which team remains responsible during the move. Neither a flight stretcher booking nor terminal wheelchair assistance establishes that the road handover is workable.
Review oxygen and powered support over the whole interval
Where oxygen or ventilatory support is part of the treating team’s requirements, the plan must cover airport waiting as well as travel. Identify each device, supplying party and team responsible for its use. Ask the responsible providers to review power, supply duration, interfaces and contingencies for the proposed journey. Do not assume the foreign escort’s device can be powered by the local vehicle or connected to a different oxygen source. Settings and suitability remain clinical decisions. If any interval has no confirmed support owner, that gap must be resolved before the onward leg is treated as ready.
Agree what passes from the foreign escort to the local team
An overseas doctor or nurse may remain for the road leg or finish at an agreed PVG handover point. Confirm which arrangement is intended. Ask who accepts clinical responsibility, what support the local provider has actually confirmed and which documents or equipment must change custody. A preference for a local doctor is a requirement to assess, not evidence that a doctor is assigned. Airport access and the exact exchange location need their own confirmation; an enquiry about tarmac access does not grant it.
Treat a late arrival as several linked confirmations
An evening or nighttime flight can shift both the airport waiting period and the arrival window in Ningbo or Fenghua. Ask the receiver who can accept the patient at the resulting hour, whether the local provider can cover the proposed duty period, and who is reachable if release is delayed. Do not calculate dispatch from scheduled landing alone. If the receiving window no longer works, the case owner and responsible clinical teams need a revised plan; neither an unconfirmed overnight resource nor a fixed travel time should be assumed.
Keep family arrangements aligned with clinical handover
Identify who meets the patient, who accompanies the road journey and who carries the remaining luggage. A family decision to appoint a separate local vehicle changes the coordination boundary: identify that provider’s contact and confirm who takes over outstanding equipment, airport and receiving questions. Do not carry forward assumptions from an earlier proposed arrangement. If companions or bags travel separately, agree how the family is kept informed and where essential documents remain available to the responsible team.
Send a continuity-focused feasibility request
Include the PVG flight and local date, planned Ningbo/Fenghua endpoint, receiving status and arrival window, sitting/stretcher and transfer needs, clinician-requested oxygen or powered support, supplying teams, foreign escort endpoint, local staffing request, companions and luggage. Mark unknowns explicitly. Ask for the road scope, waiting assumptions, payment route and remaining approvals to be stated before booking. Route availability, provider capability and timing are assessed for the individual assignment; this page does not offer a fixed journey duration or round-the-clock dispatch promise.
